2020 – 2021


Pre-K registration for the 2020-2021 school year has been rescheduled for June. Parents may apply using either of the 2 options listed:

(Option 1) During June 3-12, apply online at with follow-up packet completion required at your school of choice once the school contacts you OR

(Option 2) Eliminate online registration by visiting the site choice from those listed below.           Dates: June 3-4, June 8-11(Fridays unavailable)               Times: 9AM-2PM

Due to summer scheduling, it is suggested that a phone contact is made with the school prior to a site visit.

Children must be 4 years old on or before September 30, 2020 to be eligible. See below the requirements for registration and a list of OPSB schools with Pre-K.   Parents may apply at any of the schools listed.

What you will need to provide for a complete registration: (For both Option 1 and Option 2 applications) *A complete registration packet is required to be eligible to be considered for Pre-K.

1. Birth Certificate
2. Current Shot Record (does not have to be up-to-date until the Fall)
3. Social Security Card (or notice that you have applied for one)
4. Two Proofs of Residence in the name of the birth parent- 2 current bill copies such as: Utilities  (electric, water, gas),  Lease, Mortgage or Deed  (no cell phone bills)
5. Income Documentation - (as it applies to you from the following):
2 consecutive wage statements from the month of or month preceding the application date for EACH working parent in the home OR  SNAP/Food Stamp printout with all family names shown OR
Foster Care agreement from DCFS OR Letter from employer (signed/dated) stating the average number of hours worked per week and rate of pay OR If the CHILD receives SSI benefits, a Social Security Administration statement with 2 consecutive check stubs from the month of or month preceding the application date


Parents who did not register during the Round Up dates, may contact any of the schools listed below to ask if they have any available PK openings. Children may still be added to PK classes IF there are available spots that were not filled with children who registered during Registration Week. The parent would need to complete a registration packet and turn in the required documentation at the school.

Boley Elementary (currently housed at Crosley when applications are to be submitted), Calhoun Elementary, Crosley PK and K, Drew Elementary, Highland Elementary, Jack Hayes Elementary
Lakeshore Elementary, Lenwil Elementary, Pinecrest Elementary, Riser Elementary, Robinson Elementary, Shady Grove Elementary, Sterlington Elementary, Swartz Lower Elementary,Swayze Elementary, Woodlawn Elementary

*You must live in Ouachita Parish (and not inside Monroe city limits) to be eligible for the Ouachita Parish School Pre-K program.***Member of the OpeNetwork**
